Garyu Sanso, the prefecture's most famous building

Garyu Sanso in Ozu City is a villa built over a period of 10 years starting around 1897 by Torajiro Kawachi, who made his fortune in the wood wax trade.

You can enjoy the beauty of Japanese architecture and elaborate gardens.

In addition, Garyu Sanso has been designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government, and in 2011 it received one star in the Michelin Green Guide Japan.

Every Sunday from April to October (closed in August), Garyu Sanso hosts a special tea-presenting experience at Garyu Sanso, an important cultural property of Ozu.

A special cup of sake at Garyu Sanso Furouan, built to jut out from the cliff, will surely soothe your soul.

Please come and enjoy a special time.
